The founders of Ecodyne Heat Exchangers originally known as the McKenzie-Ris Manufacturing Corporation, traced the origins of their air cooled heat exchanger design expertise back to the earliest development of finned tube technology in the United States.
Since its founding, Ecodyne Heat Exchangers has established itself as a preferred supplier of air-cooled heat exchangers for both process and power generation industries, earning a reputation for delivering quality products on schedule at competitive prices.
In 1981 Ecodyne Heat Exchangers became a member of the Marmon Group of companies. In 2000 Ecodyne Heat Exchangers acquired Houston, Texas based O&M Manufacturing Company. In 2004 the two operations consolidated. The larger, strategically located Houston facility became the new headquarters for Ecodyne Heat Exchangers. In addition to support both Ecodyne Heat Exchangers' and O&M's air-cooled heat exchanger products, the Houston facility supports the supply of O&M's traditional heavy duty Industrial Radiators.
In March 2008, the Marmon Group and Ecodyne Heat Exchangers became members of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.
